UNESCO Conference at Vowley

Last month, our team had the privilege of attending the Hawk Board UNESCO conference at Vowley. Inspired by the UK becoming a signatory to UNESCO, this two-day event was an informative and inclusive gathering that brought together a diverse group of speakers and participants, representing various aspects of the falconry community all with the same goal: to support our falconry community and way of life.

Not only did we hear from breeders, pest controllers, falconry centres, craftspeople, the Independent Bird Register, the British Archive of Falconry and the Falconry Heritage Trust, as well as key figures from government departments, but the event also united British falconry clubs and groups in working collaboratively on the future of our sport.
